Hatila Valley National Park includes the Hatila Stream in Hatila Valley and its many side streams within the borders of the central district of Artvin. Transportation is provided by a 10 km stabilized road from the city center of Artvin. Although there are different types of rocks throughout the valley, almost all of these rocks are the product of depth volcanism. The general character of Hatila Valley; It is a V-type, narrow-bottomed, young valley feature. Slope fractures resulted from lithological differences throughout the valley. These slope fractures led to the formation of waterfalls in the stream. The slope of the valley slopes reaches 80% and even 100% in some sections due to the fact that the depth of the valley bed is stronger than its side opening. As a result of both physical fragmentation and mass movements of the slopes and the treatment of side streams and landslides, a very harsh topography emerged in the valley. This topography provided the formation of canyon and throat in the middle parts of the valley. Vegetative cover, which is very rich and dense at the middle and upper mouth of the valley; It contains a wide variety of plant species. The salient feature of these species is that the vegetation generally reflects the Mediterranean climate character.
